Why Percentage Return Makes Trading Competitions More Accessible Than Capital-Based Challenges
TradingPRO’s 10th Years Anniversary Contest Volume 2 ranks participants by profit percentage rather than absolute profit — a structure that levels the playing field for traders regardless of account size or capital.
In most capital-based trading competitions, the participant with the largest account has a structural advantage: bigger positions, larger absolute returns, and a higher chance of finishing at the top. TradingPRO’s 10th Years Anniversary Contest Volume 2 takes a different approach.
Running from 1 September to 2 October 2026, the contest ranks participants using profit percentage, calculated as ((Balance – Deposit) / Deposit) × 100%. Because every participant enters with the same fixed deposit of USD 10, performance is measured purely on trading skill — not the size of the starting capital.
This structure means a trader who grows their USD 10 by 200% ranks above one who grows a larger account by 150%, regardless of the absolute dollar amounts involved. It removes the inherent advantage that comes with deeper pockets and puts the focus squarely on decision-making, strategy, and execution.
The contest is open to both new and existing TradingPRO clients worldwide, aged 18 and above. Trading is conducted on a ScalpX account via MetaTrader 5, with 1:500 leverage and instruments limited to forex pairs and gold. Participants must trade more than minimum lot during the contest period to remain prize-eligible.
The USD10,000 prize pool is distributed across 20 winners, with first place taking USD3,500. In the event of a tie in profit percentage, the prize is awarded to the participant with the highest volume traded.
